Jessica, Nicole, JiYoon – new trademark members of girlgroups?
In this time of girlgroups showdown, some of the ‘hidden’ members from groups have risen to become stars.
New members have risen from groups receiving much interests replacing the usual trademark members of each group. From So Nyeo Shi Dae, there is Jessica, Nicole from KARA, and Jeon JiYoon from 4Minute.
SNSD Jessica has been receiving much popularity and interests this summer. It is not an easy feat to be stand out in a group of 9 members. But for the group’s activities, she has seemed to stand out more amongst other members this summer.
YoonA, Tiffany and TaeYeon were the trademark members for the first halfway of the year with ‘Gee’, and then SooYoung and Sunny also stood out for their appearances on broadcast shows. And then with ‘Tell Me Your Wish’, member Yuri and Seo Hyun stood out with their height and slim build. Member HyoYeon also stood out with her incredible dance skills.
With that, Jessica has lately been shining in the group, on internet cafe, it was said by netizens as ‘Jessica’s era’. With her unique vocals, she has gained much popularity with her collaboration song ‘NaengMyun’ with Park MyungSoo for MBC Infinite Challenge. Known for being a ‘ice princess’, Jessica has shown a cheerful and cute image of her, and netizens are loving it.
And for KARA, Nicole has also recently been receiving much popularity for her ‘butt dance’ for their comeback performances of ‘Mister’. And Nicole is also known through her appearance on KBS ‘Star Golden Bell’ in her own corner of the show.
Much interests has also been shown on the girls for their comeback promotions as the girls have comeback looking more slim through diets and exercise, and Nicole has also received great popularity amongst fanboys from changing her girl-next-door look for a more matured image.
And known to be the ‘HyunA girl’, 4Minute member ‘JeonGlasses’ Jeon JiYoon has recently shone much in the group. She was known to have been always wearing a pair of sunglasses from debut and has earned the name of ‘JeonGlasses’. But with the group’s new minialbum, JiYoon has taken off her sunglasses for their promotions showing her face for the first time.
With the reveal of JiYoon’s face, it has gained much interests from netizens online, and also her charismatic performances for their comeback stages has also gained her interests. She was also one of the top searches on search portal sites when the group had their comeback.
JiYoon said in her recent interview, “I didn’t know I would get such great interests from fans. I will work hard to improve myself.”

Park Jaebum himself and JYP confirmed his departure from 2PM.
On September 8th 11:59PM, Jaebum wrote on his fancafe "Hello, I'm 2PM's JaeBum. I'm sorry for giving you my last greeting through this letter. I think it will be hard for me to see you all on stage because of my sorry heart. I'm really sorry to everyone, and I'm even more sorry to the fans who have shown me love.
From today, I will leave 2PM.
2PM boys, I'm really sorry to the boys and I'm sorry I couldn't be strong as a leader and a hyung and have to leave like this.
However, I hope you will be more cool and charming.
Again, I'm sorry."
Jaebum said "I am sorry to everyone, especially to the fans who loved me and stuck by me. From today I will break away from 2PM"
JAebum finally wrote "I am very sorry to the 2PM guys and to others that I couldn't be a good enough leader and hyung. I apologize again."
JYP Entertainment also confirmed through a phone interview with Newsen that the departure of Jaebum from 2PM is indeed true.
Hearing about his departure from 2PM, one of the biggest and most popular idol groups, there was lots of commotion and distress from netizens.
One person said "Jaebum's actions were indeed wrong but he did apologize and did all he could. I am very worried about how the fans will react."

JaeBum declares leaving 2PM, and sets off for hometown Seattle on 8th(Fan account in the airport)
2PM JaeBum will be leaving for the States after he declares that he will be leaving the group officially on 8th Septmber.
JaeBum posted a message on 2PM’s official fancafe on 8th September at 11.59am, with the title to the post “This is JaeBum” informing fans about his leaving of the group.
The incident happened with JaeBum’s Korean-offending messages posted on his MySpace page in 2005 were discovered on 5th September. With that, many Koreans netizens were unhappy and in just 4 days after the incident, JaeBum has decided to leave the group.
JaeBum will be leaving for his hometown Seattle on 8th September. After knowing that JaeBum will be leaving for the states, many fans have stated, “We should prevent JaeBum from leaving Korea. And there are plans for fans to come together at the airport.
After it was declared that JaeBum will be leaving the group, there was a new petition up on Agora to “Stop JaeBum from leaving 2PM”. And it seems that this affection for Korea by JaeBum has came just too late after the incident.
Meanwhile, JaeBum’s message left on the official fancafe on 8th September goes:
Hello. This is JaeBum from 2PM. I’m sorry to give a last farewell with this message. With that very apologetic heart I have, it seems it is hard for me to see everyone on stage again.”
I’m very sorry to everyone. I’m even more sorry to fans who have gave so much love. I will be leaving 2PM from today. I’m so sorry but I have to leave 2PM and you guys because I have been a leader hyung who not only did not give strength but became a burden. I’m once again sorry.”
Meanwhile, it was said that JaeBum has left Korea for the States to evade from being enlisted for military service after the incident, and the case was compared to as the ‘2nd Yoo Seung Joon’ incident.

f(x) was on Kbs cool FM‘super junior kiss the radio ’ yesterday, the 7th, their first radio show.
f(x) and super junior are company sunbae relationships. Super Junior participated in f(x)’s first showcase on the second, they have said their comments many times.
During broadcast, Eunhyuk said, “Looking at f(x)‘s leader Victoria, it’s like looking at our group’s Hangeng.” Showing affection. Victoria was in china’s best dance school, Beijing Dance Academy. She’s the group’s chinese dancer.

On the 8th, once Jaebum’s official resignation because of the MySpace Korea comment issue was revealed netizens were shocked.
After the news was released today in the afternoon, netizens said, “The issue would have died off in a few months. It’s tantalizing.” “He made a mistake but quitting was a little to harsh.”and other various statements about his unexpected action. After the issue there has been a petition against Jaebum and forcing him to quit, but they didn’t expect it would really happen.

Kim Hyun Joong diagnosed with swine flu!
SS501 leader and Boys Over Flowers star, Kim Hyun Joong, has been diagnosed with swine flu. The singer turned actor was in Japan to promote his hit drama series over the weekend, from 5 - 6th September. During the promotion, he had shown signs of a fever and a headache, which caused him to miss his activities on the 6th.
A representative from DSP Media gave a formal statement saying, "Scheduled for a flight, at 12pm on the 7th of September, he had passed through immigration without any problems but later in the afternoon, due to a sudden change to his health, he was taken to the emergency room."
While in the ER, it was diagnosed that the star has swine flu, and the representative says that the star is being treated but has to remain under further observation to make any other report, thus causing him to remain in Japan. Kim Hyun Joong's manager has been sent to the hospital to check on the matter and will inform the public with more details when available.
Seo Hyun, Yuri and Sooyoung plugs Kim Tae Woo’s album
After revealing who his ideal little sister was on MC Yoo Jae Suk and Kim Won Hee's Come To Play on August 31, former GOD member and singer Kim Tae Woo has finally met his ideal little sister.
SNSD's Yuri, along with Soo Young and SNSD maknae, Seo Hyun (the latter 2 filling in for Tiffany) had met Kim Tae Woo backstage on MBC's Music Core last Saturday, 5th September for his comeback stage.
The girls seemed fairly pleased to have received an album from a senior, but Kim Tae Woo felt a little nervous in front of them. The girls later said, "Thank you for the album T-Virus and for providing us with your soothing voice that falls like a soft sheet of rain."
Kim Tae Woo had said on Come To Play that Yuri was his ideal type to have as a "little sister." He mentioned that during his service for the South Korean army, during the times when he was exhausted, he would think of Yuri and then soldier on.
Its really nice to see that an older senior is thinking about his junior. But only as a sister? I bet my bottom dollar there is more to his interest than only as a little sister.

What’s next for 2PM?
2PM's Jaebeom recently posted that he will be quitting the group and returning home.
So what's to come of 2PM?
JYP Entertainment stated:
"It seems there will be issues with 2PM's future activities. For now, Jaebeom has stated that he wants to return to American as soon as possible. Because of Jaebeom's controversy, we have not made any decisions on 2PM's future activities."
2PM was supposed to make a comeback in October with their 2nd album, however due to Jaebeom's leave, nothing is certain as of yet. JYPE is still unsure of whether 2PM should be a 6-member group, or if they should recruit a new member. Consequently, JYPE also needs to choose a new leader for 2PM.
