[K-News]MBC cuts Rain off from broadcast?
It's a question that fans of world star Rain (Jung Ji Hoon) have been asking a lot. Why was Rain's performance at the Incheon Korean Wave Festival edited away from MBC's broadcast this afternoon?
There was no Music Core this afternoon, 12th September as MBC showed the concert footage from the Incheon Korean Wave Festival held last Saturday, 5th September, at the Incheon World Cup Stadium. On that day, Rain had took the final stage of the festival but that performance wasn't broadcasted, filling fans with curiosity, as Super Junior was shown closing out the show instead. Many of you were wondering in our coverage about the non-appearance of Rain.
An official of Music Core revealed, "Rain had originally assumed that his stage wouldn't be broadcasted. Rain's performance wasn't removed, he just didn't want it to be broadcasted, and that is why it was not shown on TV this afternoon".

[K-News]Jung Il Woo & Kim Bum returns for cameos in High Kick Through the Roof
Actor and heartthrob Kim Bum, who was filming for SBS Dream, revealed in an interview that Kim Byung Woo PD made a love call to both him and Jung Il Woo and had asked them to be cameos in season 2 High Kick Through the Roof.
For those of you who don't know by now, the new sitcom, which has been broadcasting for only a week now, is a season 2 from the old "Unstoppable High Kick!" in 2006.
Whether or not the two will carry on the same roles from Unstoppable High Kick! is still unsure, as their roles as cameos have not been discussed yet.
When asked "Would you like to try a sitcom again?", Kim Bum answered, "The genre of sitcom is very attractive. If I had the chance, I would like to try it again. The sitcom's filming place has this atmosphere, where you get this feeling of overreacting to try to be funny. I sometimes want to feel that kind of atmosphere again."

On a side note, with his hard effort and even losing 8kg from half a month of filming Dream, Kim Bum revealed his sorrow for the poor ratings of his drama. He commented, "I'm disappointed from the low viewers rating, but people around me gave good reviews of the drama itself so it's ok."

[K-News]Kim Bum at fan signing event for Bonjuk’s 7th Anniversary
To commemorate Bonjuk's 7th year anniversary, they arranged for their CF model and actor, Kim Bum to have a fan signing session this morning, 12th September at their Myeondong outlet. 200 lucky customers turned up to get a signed Bonjuk poster, with Kim Bum's picture.
It was a shame that Kim So Eun, who is also Bonjuk's CF model, wasn't asked along for this event which would have made it hotter.
And for those who still miss the So Yi Jeong ♥ Chu Ga Eul couple.

[K-News]Lee Seung Gi’s 4th Album: 40,000 in Preorders
Lee Seung Gi's fourth album is coming soon!
The 4th album, named "Shadow", will be released on the 17th of this month. Around 40,000 preorders have already been placed on various online music stores.
Lee Seung Gi is well-known as a singer as well a variety show figure (1 Day, 2 Nights); furthermore, he has amassed even more interest after his appearance on the 2009 hit drama "Shining Inheritance," which seems to have risen the expectations & generated greater anticipation for his new album. The album's title track will be "Let's Break Up," produced by Kim Do Hoon. Further production will come from Psy, E-Tribe, Song Yang Ha, among others
How will the album fare in the era of idol groups? We can only wait and see...

SHINee, Kara and Paran’s Ryan to perform in Thai-Korea Friends Concert
The first ever Thai-Korea Friends Concert will be held on the 17th of September with KARA, SHINee and Paran's Ryan performing for Korea.
As part of the second Thailand Entertainment Expo, the concert will be held in Bangkok's Parc Paragon, featuring popular artists from Korea and Thailand. Golf&Mike, Namcha, and Ice will be performing for Thailand, while KARA will spend their first time in Thailand representing Korea along with SHINee and Ryan, who are all very popular in Thailand.
With the concert to be broadcasted on Thailand's True Vision, officials of the event are delighted to see the first ever collaboration of the two nations' pop cultures.

[K-News]Jaebeom’s Final (?) Performance with 2PM
Many have been anticipating the official footage release of the Incheon Korean Wave Festival 2009, which took place last Saturday on the 5th. MBC has finally aired the footage today in place of Music Core.
Sadly, who knew that 2PM's performance of their 2009 hit songs, Again & Again and I Hate You that day would be their last performance all together... as seven, as one. Ok, Nichkhun wasn't around on that night because he had some CF matters in Thailand.
But as things stand, Jaebeom is not with 2PM now. But who knows what will happen in future, we can only hope for the best.
This performance will definitely be memorable for all those who have walked with the magnificent seven through their hardships and struggles since the Hot Blood days.
Reminiscing the good old heptagonal days.

[K-News]Big Bang Taeyang and Seungri’s pasts revealed
With Daesung's inspirational story revealed, Big Bang member Taeyang, and Seungri's high school lives will ALSO be revealed in "The Secret Star - Big Bang episode".
A preview of Taeyang's story:
Before Taeyang dreamed of becoming a singer, he had absolutely no skills in singing or dancing. He needed to put so much effort into his training and at the end, it paid off. His solo-song "Only Look at Me" was a hit, showcasing his strong dancing skills and smooth voice. He first debuted as a child actor in an MV, for a hip hop group named "Jinusean." And that's when his career started, as he went straight to YG Entertainment's President Yang Hun Suk, after his MV casting.
In addition, G-Dragon and Taeyang were extremely close, even pre-debut. Taeyang's pastor said, "The two (G-Dragon and Taeyang) really had a special relationship. They were closer than brothers."
Now for Seungri:
Seungri, first joined an amateur dance team in Gwangju's X shopping mall. He also danced at the "Hong Gil Dong festival".
Seungri's school teacher commented, "When I first met him, he was 13 years old. He was always sure of his dreams and goals. Very confident, so much so that I wondered if some people would misunderstand him."
Seungri supposedly had distinct entertainer qualities, even as a child.

[K-News] TVXQ not attending Dream Concert 2009, 2PM to attend
On September 9th, the Korean Entertainment Producers Association released a document to all attendees of the concert and to the general public.
Here's what it said:
1. Thank you for showing much interest towards 2009 DREAM Concert.
2. Korean Entertainment Producers Association will become organizer of 2009 DREAM Concert.
As was reported in Japan, TVXQ lawsuit has already been gathering a lot of attention.
About this unforeseen incident, Korean Entertainment Producers Association and SM Entertainment has been having discussions in regard to former performers matter, and currently meet in the decision that under present condition, starring TVXQ in the concert is very difficult, therefore for everyone who is looking forward to TVXQ performance, we’re really sorry and sincerely apologize.
3. However, the possibility performance still depends upon the trial result of Korean Court. By that time, we’ll officially announce the decision yet again.
Because the 2009 DREAM concert is Korean biggest concert, we would like you to enjoy the stage of splendid artists whom Korea is proud of at Sangnam World Cup Stadium, South Korea.
4. As an addition, we’d like to inform you that BIG BANG will perform with no problem.
5. We’re so pleased with everyone who had been working hard to prepare for DREAM Concert, thank you very much.
In other words...
TVXQ will not attend Dream Concert 2009.
All other artists who were planning on attending, will attend without issue including:
Big Bang, SNSD / Girls' Generation, Super Junior, 2PM, SHINee, 4 Minute, 2NE1, and others.
Of course the standout there is that 2PM has plans to attend and perform.

[K-News]Song Hye Gyo and Joe Odagiri for Levi’s Premium
Actress Song Hye Gyo recently modeled with Japanese actor Joe Ogidari for the Levi's Premium Collections endorsement. When the two first met, it was reported that the atmosphere was very awkward, but as the photoshoot went on, they felt more comfortable with each other, and the photos came out more naturally. The concept of this endorsement shoot was "A city boy meets a city girl". Check them out below! And if you didn't know already, Joe Ogidari is known for acting in a couple of asian movies such as Maison de Himiko and Tokyo Tower.

[K-News]TVXQ are not monkeys
Cassiopeia strikes again!
On September 10th, the TVXQ fanbase took out an advertisement in the Hangyuhreh newspaper with the title "TVXQ is not a monkey"
The phrase refers to the alleged slave contracts that have been the source of conflict between TVXQ and SM Entertainment.
The words "You don't have to know," "Do not argue," and "Don't expect an answer" accompanied pictures of the "Hear no, see no, do no" monkey pictures.
At the bottom of the ad, the statement "Dong Bang Shin Ki has moral rights and are people that should be able to make their own decisions"
For those of you who have been living under a rock for the past month, TVXQ members Yoochun, Junsu, and Jaejoong filed an injunction against SM entertainment to determine the validity of their contract with SM.
The court ruling should be out soon as well.
