With the return of Drunken Tiger with his 8th album on June 29th, 2009, hip hop in Korea was reborn, and fans are loving it. The legendary hip hop artist Drunken Tiger (Tiger JK) is on the verge of selling 100,000 albums.
To date, the 8th album has sold approximately 75,000 copies, but with the additional copies in print and the sales trends, 100,000 seems to be right around the corner. This is quite a significant milestone, especially for a hip hop artist, as Korea is highly dominated by Idol boy bands.
Not only is Drunken Tiger's album doing well, but Tiger JK has been constantly receiving love calls and offers for CF's and product endorsements. The once forgotten and struggling artist, has officially made his comeback, and it is pretty damn epic.
